National Safety Council Launches NSC SafetyAtlas™
Online platform unites training, resources and services from NSC, participating NSC Chapters and 8 charter partners in one connected safety ecosystem
In the current safety landscape, organizations often must navigate between multiple providers, catalogs and systems to find, assign and track safety training. Grounded in NSC research and best practices, SafetyAtlas provides a simplified user experience by combining a curated marketplace and learning management system into one cross-functional platform where leaders, managers and frontline workers can procure and manage learning, maintain credentials and run comprehensive reports.
"With SafetyAtlas, the National Safety Council is creating something the safety profession has long needed: a single connected destination for trusted safety resources and guidance," said
With training as a starting point, SafetyAtlas enables employers, safety professionals, human resources teams, and learning and development professionals to:
- Browse and purchase training from multiple providers
- Assign learning to individuals or groups
- Track progress, completion and certificates
- Conveniently maintain training and credential records
- Run reports through integrated learning management capabilities available at no additional platform cost
The platform includes industry-aligned learning pathways for higher-risk sectors, geo-located course search and a Safety Wallet, where users can store and share safety credentials and training history. In addition to automatically recording courses completed through SafetyAtlas, users will soon be able to upload training and credentials from other platforms and organizations.
SafetyAtlas will expand over the coming year with additional partners, AI-enabled learning journeys and access to further tools, education and resources.
Participating NSC Chapters at launch include the NSC Nebraska Chapter, the Oklahoma Safety Council and the Northeastern New York Safety & Health Council.
SafetyAtlas charter nonprofit and industry partners and launch offerings include:
- Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM): Safety manuals that communicate the preparation, safe operation and maintenance of off-highway equipment
