Meade Engineering Names Amit Sahdev, PE, Chief Operating Officer

Veteran engineering executive brings more than two decades of technical and operational leadership experience to Meade's growing organization.

TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Meade Engineering has appointed Amit Sahdev, PE, as Chief Operating Officer, marking a significant milestone in the firm's 36-year history. Sahdev joined on Oct. 19 and plans to relocate from Houston to Arizona to lead the firm's engineering organization and help shape its next phase of growth.

Sahdev will initially oversee the firm's engineering organization, focusing on technical standards, coordination, and consistency in project delivery. His responsibilities will expand over time to include broader oversight of how Meade operates and delivers work.

Meade Engineering initially set out to hire a leader for its engineering organization. As the search progressed, Sahdev's depth of technical and operational experience prompted the firm to expand the position to Chief Operating Officer.

A licensed professional engineer, Sahdev has led large engineering organizations and complex projects. Most recently, at Blackstone-owned Shermco Industries, he directly managed a P&L of over $100 million and led a team of 230 engineers across 14 offices in the United States and Canada. His experience spans data centers, semiconductors, renewable energy, utilities, and other infrastructure sectors.

Previously, Sahdev was a partner at LJA Engineering, where he helped lead the firm's automation and electrical division and contributed to its AI tools and standards committee. He has guided engineers delivering multimillion-dollar projects across water, wastewater, energy, transportation and public works. He has also established quality assurance systems across engineering divisions to support consistent execution.

Sahdev holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
