KIA AMERICA ACHIEVES SIXTH CONSECUTIVE MONTH OF RECORD-BREAKING SALES

• Best-ever October total sales of 80,008 units marks an increase of 16 percent over the previous October record
• Retail sales totaled 68,926 units, marking the best-ever October retail performance and a 20 percent year-over-year increase
• Electrified and hybrid vehicle sales increased 112 and 114 percent respectively, setting new category sales records
• Five Kia models – Telluride, Seltos, Carnival, K4, and Sportage each achieved best-ever October sales

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- For the sixth consecutive month, Kia America has set new sales records as the brand achieved record overall and record retail sales in October. Kia sold 80,008 units in October, with 68,926 vehicles sold through the brand's nationwide network of retailers. These record-breaking overall and retail performances represent respective increases of 16 and 20 percent over the previous records for each category. Kia also set new sales records for electrified vehicles and hybrids, with sales increasing 112 percent and 114 percent year-over-year, helping drive Kia's record October performance.

Eight Kia models achieved significant year-over-year sales growth, including: EV9 (+111 percent); Telluride (+63 percent); EV6 (+58 percent); Seltos (+43 percent); Sorento (+31 percent); Carnival (+17% percent); K4 (+14 percent); and Sportage (+12 percent). Of these, Telluride, Seltos, Carnival, K4, and Sportage each achieved best-ever October sales. Telluride, Sportage HEV and Carnival HEV delivered best-ever any month sales records. The hybrid variants of Sorento (+122 percent); Carnival (+88 percent) and Sportage (+57 percent) also posted impressive double- and triple-digit sales increases, thereby contributing to Kia's record-breaking October sales.

In addition to the monthly sales performance, Kia America also made additional announcements, including: 

• The arrival of the all-new, all-electric, 2027 Kia EV3 in Kia showrooms nationwide. The most attainable model in Kia's growing electric vehicle lineup, the EV3 has a starting price at just under $30,000 MSRP¹ for the Light FWD. Offering up to an EPA-estimated 321 miles of all-electric range on the Wind FWD and the Land FWD, the EV3 was designed as an entry EV SUV, delivering efficient, all-electric performance in a smart, approachable and compact package.
  
  
• Pricing for the 2027 Sorento ICE powertrain, with the base LX trim price increasing by only $200. For 2027, changes to Sorento are minimal, with the popular SUV carrying over several previous model year updates. The most notable change for 2027 is the inclusion of Black Jade Green and the deletion of Jungle Green. This new exterior hue has performed well on the new Telluride, and so its availability has been expanded to the 2027 Sorento.
