InGenesis CEO Becomes Part of Global Power 150—Women in Staffing
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- InGenesis founder and CEO, Dr. Veronica Muzquiz Edwards, joins the ranks of the 2018 Global Power 150—Women in Staffing. Three years ago, Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) began its recognition of accomplished women in the workforce industry. Previous acknowledgements were limited to 100 women: 50, of which, were from North America. This year, SIA expanded their boundaries around the world to compile an impressive listing of 150 influential women in staffing.
As an international advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, SIA believes in validating the significant contributions of women in the industry, who are still underrepresented in their database of “C-level executives,” despite their dominating presence at the branch level. According to Subadhra Sriram, publisher and editor, media products at SIA, “It continues to be essential that we recognize female leadership and call out the immensely important roles these women play in developing, driving and delivering solutions, work models and value for the industry.”
“Accolades for hard work is rewarding, but there’s a greater satisfaction that stems from our everyday effort of placing people in positions that preserve life, improve lives and inspire others,” said Dr. Veronica Muzquiz Edwards. “As chair and head of the U.S. Delegation for the ISO Technical Advisory Group, it’s an honor to work with global experts, such as the World Health Organization, on ISO healthcare organization management initiatives, which include outcome-based patient centered staffing and hand hygiene standards.”
In 1998, Dr. Edwards turned a “pink slip” from a Fortune 50 corporation into an entrepreneurial enterprise called InGenesis. Dedicated to workforce solutions in healthcare, sheâs championed a mission that ardently touches life, humanity and community service. The companyâs Baldrige aligned managed services provider (MSP) and clinical expertise is strategically aligned to support their hospital and higher education portfolio. Following its acquisition of Kelly Healthcare Resources, a division of Kelly Services, the occupational health portfolio expanded to include nearly half of the Fortune 100 companies.
For the past few years, InGenesis has been recognized as one of the largest healthcare staffing firms and is the largest minority/women-owned healthcare staffing firm in North America. Additionally, Dr. Edwards was named one of the 50 most powerful Latinas in business as documented by Fortune magazine.
