It's generally agreed that when processes improve in medical facilities, both patients and staff members benefit. Such is the case when creative individuals like an inventor from Davenport, Fla., provide a better way to dispense medical gloves, which are used in large quantities for multiple procedures every day.

He developed the patent-pending NO TOUCH GLOVE DISPENSER to provide an enhanced level of hygiene and safety. As such, it prevents cross infection and helps save lives. Besides that, it minimizes the waste associated with dropping or tearing gloves retrieved from conventional boxes. At the same time, it helps medical staff workers do their jobs better, faster and safer. It is, therefore, cost effective for medical facilities. It is also convenient, effective and user friendly. In addition, it is lightweight, compact and easy to install.

The inventor's work experience inspired the idea. "As a registered nurse, I saw too many instances of cross-contamination in the hospital," he said. "I wanted to improve patient care by finding a better way to dispense medical gloves."

The original design was submitted to the Lakeland office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
