Haynes to Complete Multi-Level Renovation at Hotel 1620 in Plymouth

BOSTON, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Haynes, a Massachusetts- and Rhode Island-based construction management firm, is leading a multi-level renovation of Hotel 1620, a boutique waterfront hotel in historic Plymouth operated by Linchris and included in its Independent Collection of Hotels.

Slated to begin in early November, the renovation encompasses a new main lobby and reception area, along with an adjoining work lounge, micro market, pub, pre-function corridor and new public restrooms. On the first floor, Haynes is renovating the indoor pool cabana, event room, adjacent fitness corridor, and additional public restrooms. Work on the third and fourth floors extends to the elevator lobbies, carrying the refreshed design throughout the hotel's guestroom levels.

Designed by Corgan, a Texas-based architectural firm, in collaboration with owner Linchris Hotel Corporation, the renovation introduces a coastal New England aesthetic that complements the hotel's harborside setting in Plymouth.

The hotel will remain open and operational throughout construction, requiring careful coordination between the project team and hotel staff onsite. Haynes brings extensive experience managing renovations in active, occupied environments, with a proven approach to phasing, work-area security, and day-to-day coordination that allows construction to progress while maintaining the hotel's operations and safety.
