Frankenmuth Insurance formed its Agency Council in 2009 and selects high-caliber agents from across its operating regions to provide the agency perspective on company strategy. The Frankenmuth Insurance Agency Council members address issues of mutual strategic interest, providing valuable insight to help strengthen the company's partnerships with all agencies.

Shafer Insurance Agency was started by Alex Shafer, Sr., in 1963. Andy Shafer joined the agency in 1995, making him a third-generation Shafer to join the family business, and currently serves as its President. He has worked in the industry for more than 27 years specializing in commercial property and casualty insurance.
