Fitch Publishes Argentine Corporates Dashboard

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Fitch Ratings has published a new Argentine Corporates Dashboard. The publication explores key elements arising in the Argentine economy and their impact on the credit profile of corporates domiciled in Argentina.

Seven of nine Fitch-rated Argentine corporates have 'CCC' rating due to the weak credit profile of the sovereign and extremely restrictive capital controls. Positively, most Argentine corporates have strong capital structures to mitigate high inflation, government intervention and economic uncertainty, but limited access to international capital markets. Presidential elections during the fall will likely result in a new administration that will be more business-friendly. Challenges for the new government will be significant and the positive cash flow implication for corporate debt issuers will be gradual.
