Cooper Standard Achieves SBTi Validation of Near-Term Science-Based Emissions Reduction Targets

NORTHVILLE, Mich., Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooper Standard (NYSE: CPS), a leading global supplier of sealing and fluid handling systems and components, today announced that the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has validated Cooper Standard's near-term science-based emissions reduction targets. The validation confirms Cooper Standard's emission reduction targets are aligned with climate science and meet SBTi requirements. The validated targets also support the Company's longer-term sustainability and decarbonization objectives.

As validated by SBTi, Cooper Standard commits to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions 60.83% by 2035 from a 2024 base year. The Company also commits to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, upstream transportation and distribution and waste generated in operations 31.73% within the same timeframe.

To achieve its 2035 emissions reduction objectives, Cooper Standard will continue to focus on initiatives that improve environmental performance across its global operations, including:

• Decarbonizing operations through energy efficiency and process improvements;
• Expanding renewable energy adoption where feasible;
• Collaborating with partners and suppliers to address value chain emissions; and
