As validated by SBTi, Cooper Standard commits to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions 60.83% by 2035 from a 2024 base year. The Company also commits to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, upstream transportation and distribution and waste generated in operations 31.73% within the same timeframe.
To achieve its 2035 emissions reduction objectives, Cooper Standard will continue to focus on initiatives that improve environmental performance across its global operations, including:
- Decarbonizing operations through energy efficiency and process improvements;
- Expanding renewable energy adoption where feasible;
- Collaborating with partners and suppliers to address value chain emissions; and
- Investing in innovation that supports lower-carbon products and manufacturing.
The validated targets support Cooper Standard's ongoing efforts to improve operational performance while advancing its broader sustainability strategy. This initiative also supports the Company's longer-term aspirations, including its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040 in
