CD Rates See Slight Decline

TheStreet and RateWatch Report Top National & Regional CD Rate Issuers

March 10, 2015 5:25 PM UTC

NEW YORK, March 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- RateWatch, a premier banking data and analytics service owned by TheStreet, Inc. (NASDAQ: TST) reported today that national averages for the 3 month CD decreased by 0.01% this week as the Federal Reserve continued to keep the short-term federal funds rate at a range of zero to 0.25% since late 2008.

"CD rates saw a slight decline over the past week," said Scott Gamm, reporter with TheStreet.com. "Investors will be watching next week's March meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee to see if the central bank removes the 'patience' language from its statement, which would make a summer rake hike more probable."
