AM Best Withdraws Credit Ratings of GBG Insurance Limited

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AM Best has withdrawn the Financial Strength Rating of B++ (Good) and Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “bbb+” (Good) of GBG Insurance Limited (GIL) (Guernsey). At the time of the withdrawal, the outlook on the Credit Ratings (ratings) was stable. GIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of GBGI Limited, its non-operating holding company, which consolidates the GBG group.

The withdrawal of the ratings is due to the lack of information available to AM Best to continue the interactive rating process on the company.

AM Best’s procedure is for a final rating opinion to be produced in conjunction with a rating withdrawal. However, a final rating opinion could not be produced for GIL due to the absence of sufficient and reliable information.
