A.M. Best Requests Comments on Draft Criteria: Rating Title Insurance Companies

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A.M. Best is requesting comments from market participants in the insurance industry and other interested parties on the draft criteria report, “Rating Title Insurance Companies” (updates version dated March 2, 2012).

The proposed changes include updates to observed industry loss ratios and observed industry premium to surplus ratios. In addition, the Supplemental Rating Questionnaire has been added to the list of requested information in Exhibit 4.

These updates are part of A.M. Best’s continual review of its rating methodology and are not expected to affect the ratings. Written comments should be submitted by email to [email protected] no later than June 26, 2015. The details of any comments received may be made public unless specifically requested to be kept confidential.
