2026 SOA Election Results: New Board Members

CHICAGO, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Society of Actuaries (SOA) announces the 2026 elections results, naming five new Board members and a President Elect and Vice Chair for the 2026–2027 term.

All elected Board members will begin their duties after the 2026 SOA ImpACT Annual Conference at the end of October. The newly elected Board members are:

• Jessica Dang, FSA, FCIA, Ph.D.
• Murshid Kuttihassan, FSA, MAAA, CERA, FCIA, FIA, CFA, FRM
• Taylor Pickett, FSA, MAAA
• Greg Warren, FSA, MAAA, FCA
• Andy Wieduwilt, FSA, MAAA

The SOA announces Sherry Chan, FSA, EA, MAAA, FCA, will serve as the 2026–2027 SOA President Elect and Vice Chair. Chan will become the 79th President and Chair of the SOA.

Chan advises organizations around the world as a Managing Director at EY. She also served as Chief Actuary for New York City and Ohio's largest public pension systems. Chan has spent three years as a member of the SOA Board of Directors, mentored future actuaries, co-founded Abacus Actuaries and supports actuarial education. In addition to being an SOA Board member, Chan also served in leadership roles at the American Academy of Actuaries and other organizations.

Ian Duncan, Ph.D., FSA, FIA, FCIA, FCA, MAAA, will serve as SOA President and Chair for the 2026–2027 term. Dave Dillon, FSA, FCA, MAAA, will serve as Immediate Past President for the 2026–2027 term.
