bswift Launches AI-Powered Carrier Configuration Tools, Starting with Aflac

The new capabilities reduce the manual, error-prone work required to configure carrier plans on the bswift platform. Channel Partners can now upload carrier-specific plan documents. Emma™ Intelligence, bswift's AI-native technology, then automatically configures plans, rates, and rules for final human review. The result is a more accurate starting point for configuration and review, with less need for partners to interpret and adapt complex plan requirements by hand.
Carrier plan documents vary widely in how benefits, eligibility, and plan rules are structured and expressed. By tailoring the technology to each carrier's specific materials, bswift can capture those variations more precisely and produce a more accurate configuration from the start.
"We want to make it as easy as possible for our partners and their clients to offer Aflac products to employees," said Aflac Senior Vice President, Chief Growth Officer
The Evolution of AI-Powered Benefits Configuration
The announcement builds on AI-native intake and build capabilities bswift introduced in July, which help Channel Partners stand up new small and midsize groups by turning existing requirements and plan documents into a near-complete initial site build.
The new carrier configuration tools address a different point in the benefits lifecycle: changes within an existing site on the bswift platform. Whether a client is adding a new benefit, switching carriers, or updating plans ahead of open enrollment, partners can use carrier-specific documents to easily configure those changes.
The tools are especially valuable for complex products such as voluntary benefits, where detailed plan structures, eligibility rules, and benefit schedules can make configuration particularly challenging.
More Value Across the Benefits Ecosystem
bswift is always working to solve shared challenges across the benefits ecosystem. AI-powered carrier configuration advances that goal, strengthening the experience for all stakeholders:
- Clients can offer complex products such as voluntary benefits with greater confidence, knowing plan rules are translated consistently into the administration experience.
- Channel Partners spend less time interpreting carrier documents and troubleshooting setup details, freeing capacity for higher-value strategy and client service.
- Carriers can expand their reach by making products easier for partners to bring to market, while reducing the risk that configuration errors create downstream coverage or compliance issues.
"Every carrier structures and documents its products differently, which is why a one-size-fits-all approach only gets you so far," said
