METRO DINER OPENS FIRST GREENVILLE RESTAURANT

Family-friendly restaurant brings famous all-day breakfast, American classics and award-winning comfort food to Greenville's Woodruff Road Corridor

GREENVILLE, S.C., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro Diner, the family-friendly restaurant known for bold takes on American comfort food and award-winning breakfast, lunch and dinner, has opened its first Greenville location.

Located at 1178 Woodruff Road in Greenville's Woodruff Gallery shopping center, the 3,700-square-foot diner seats 135 guests inside, plus 24 on its outdoor patio. The new location is led by Managing Partner Justin Sheffield, who has been with Metro Diner for nearly five years.

"I've been in the restaurant industry for 20 years, and the team at Metro Diner is hands down the best company I've ever worked with," said Sheffield. "I'm excited to build a new team here in Greenville and create a place where the community can come together and enjoy great food."

Known for hearty portions and comfort food made from scratch, Metro Diner serves breakfast all day alongside a wide selection of lunch and dinner favorites. The Greenville menu features everything from fluffy omelets, pancakes and hearty breakfast platters to specialty burgers made with 100% Angus beef, sandwiches, tender BBQ ribs and other classic American comfort food.

Among the restaurant's most popular dishes is Metro Diner's famous Fried Chicken & Waffle—crispy fried chicken served atop a Belgian waffle with signature strawberry butter and the diner's sweet-and-spicy sauce. When it comes to choosing a favorite from the menu, Sheffield has a hard time narrowing it down. "It's between the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and the Avocado Breakfast Sandwich," said Sheffield.
