Brig Gen (Ret.) Jason Hawk Joins CoAspire as an Executive Vice President

Former Air Force Futures senior leader brings nearly three decades of operational, strategic, and capability development experience to CoAspire.

FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CoAspire (www.coaspire.com) announced today that Brigadier General (Ret.) Jason L. Hawk has joined the company as an Executive Vice President, bringing nearly three decades of military leadership and extensive experience in future force design, advanced weapons and technology, strategic planning, and large-scale operations.

Hawk retired from the U.S. Air Force in August 2025 following a career that culminated at the Pentagon as Deputy Director, Capability Development, Air Force Futures, Headquarters U.S. Air Force. In that role, he led Air Force capability development and Joint integration, shaping operational requirements and investment priorities across three consecutive programming cycles representing approximately $200 billion in RDT&E and procurement.

His portfolio spanned the full range of Air Force capabilities, including next-generation airpower, weapons and sensors, autonomous systems and artificial intelligence, command and control, space and cyber, base defense, and mobility. Hawk was involved in capability development and modernization efforts supporting programs including Next Generation Air Dominance, Collaborative Combat Aircraft, C3BM, and B-21.

Prior to Air Force Futures, Hawk served in senior leadership positions at the National Guard Bureau. As a Deputy Director for Air, Intelligence and Cyber Operations, he oversaw readiness, mobilization, and current operations for the Air National Guard — approximately 107,000 Airmen, 90 wings, and 1,200 aircraft, supported by an approximately $11 billion annual operating budget.

Hawk commanded at the squadron and group levels and served for more than two decades as an operational aviator. He began his aviation career in the U.S. Army flying the AH-64 Apache before transitioning to the Air Force and the F-16 Fighting Falcon. A Command Pilot, instructor, and evaluator, Hawk accumulated more than 1,700 flight hours in fighter and attack aircraft and flew operational missions supporting NATO, homeland defense, and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command requirements.

Hawk holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a Master of Science in Aviation Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His executive education includes programs at the Harvard Kennedy School and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
