Bragg® Reintroduces Its Century-Old Wellness Philosophy
The Bragg Philosophy for Vibrant Living shares simple, science-backed practices rooted in Bragg's founding wisdom
Today, consumers face an increasingly crowded wellness landscape filled with misinformation, "maxxing" and marketing hype. Bragg sought to answer a simple question: Are the fundamentals of wellness really changing, or have we known them all along? To find out, the company revisited the Braggs' original teachings and engaged a registered dietitian nutritionist, nutrition scientists and medical experts to assess their relevance against contemporary research on healthspan and longevity. The review found that eight of the Braggs' original core principles remain aligned with current scientific consensus. The result is the Bragg Philosophy for Vibrant Living: a simple guide grounded in both wellness wisdom and modern science.
"Bragg was founded on a simple idea, the everyday choices we make can have a meaningful impact on our health," said
The Bragg Philosophy for Vibrant Living promotes wellness from the inside out and encourages sustainable habits that help people cultivate vitality, strengthen their connection to their bodies and the natural world, and live not just longer, but better. The philosophy categorizes the eight proven principles into three core lifestyle tenets. These tenets include:
- Mindful Nourishment: How you eat matters as much as what you eat. Research shows that food choices can influence metabolic and overall health, while shared meals, social connection and positive food experiences can also support well-being and healthy aging.1 2
- Whole Plant-Forward Eating: Whole, plant-forward foods have a place in a healthy diet. Evidence supports diets rich in nutrient-dense vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds for cardiovascular health, metabolic function, digestive wellness and healthy aging.3 4 5
- Daily Support and Balance: Small, consistent habits matter. Research increasingly points to everyday practices, including staying hydrated, supporting digestive health and meeting nutritional needs, as important components of long-term wellness.6 7 8
As part of the launch, Bragg is introducing the Bragg Vitality Collective, a network of credentialed experts who will create educational content and practical resources that help consumers bring the Philosophy's principles to life. Founding members include:
Jackie Akerberg , healthy recipe developer, photographer and founder of the popular plant-based platform Jackfruitful Kitchen. Author of The Clean Vegan Cookbook, Akerberg creates approachable recipes centered on whole-food ingredients that make healthy eating simple, delicious and enjoyable.Samantha Cassetty , MS, RDN, a nationally recognized registered dietitian nutritionist known for translating nutrition science into realistic, sustainable habits. She is the co-author ofSugar Shock : The Hidden Sugar in Your Food and 100+ Smart Swaps to Cut Back and former Nutrition Director at Good Housekeeping.
