Greentech Hydrogen Appoints Jon Maliepaard as Strategic Quantum Advisor
Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - September 1, 2026) - Greentech Hydrogen Innovations Corp. ("Greentech Hydrogen" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Maliepaard as the Company's Strategic Quantum Advisor.
In this advisory role, Mr. Maliepaard is expected to advise Greentech Hydrogen's management on the potential application of quantum security technologies, including post-quantum cryptography, entropy and related cybersecurity controls, within the Company's Hydrogen-of-Things" ("HoT") platform.
As hydrogen infrastructure becomes increasingly connected through digital monitoring, data analytics and communications systems, cybersecurity is an important consideration in the design and operation of these systems. Advances in quantum computing may, over time, affect certain cryptographic methods currently used to secure digital communications and data. Post-quantum cryptography is being developed to address these potential future risks.
Maliepaard is Chief Executive Officer of Crypta Labs, a quantum-security company whose publicly offered technology is quantum random number generation, and has experience in quantum security, technology commercialization and the development of technology businesses. He will continue in that role. The appointment is advisory only and does not constitute a commercial arrangement between the Company and Crypta Labs. His advisory work with Greentech Hydrogen is expected to include advising on cybersecurity architecture and data-protection considerations, post-quantum security assessment, and the evaluation of technologies that may be appropriate for future iterations of the HoT platform.
"Hydrogen infrastructure brings together engineering, data, communications and operational systems, making cybersecurity an important part of how we are developing Hydrogen-of-Things," said Paul Dickson, Chief Executive Officer of Greentech Hydrogen. "Jon brings specialized experience in quantum security and technology commercialization that can help us evaluate how emerging security technologies may fit within the longer-term development of the platform."
Maliepaard's work may also include advising management on the potential implications of quantum computing for critical infrastructure cybersecurity and assessing approaches that may improve the long-term resilience of Greentech Hydrogen's digital architecture.
"Industrial energy infrastructure is becoming increasingly data-driven, which makes the security and integrity of that data an important consideration," said Jon Maliepaard. "I look forward to working with Paul and the Greentech Hydrogen team to assess practical approaches to post-quantum security as the Hydrogen-of-Things platform continues to develop."
The appointment forms part of Greentech Hydrogen's broader strategy to develop security and data-management capabilities for its hydrogen intelligence technology platform. The Company has not yet deployed post-quantum cryptography across the Hydrogen-of-Things platform, and Maliepaard's initial role will focus on assessment, architecture and technology planning. The engagement is as-needed and advisory.
