Baird Starts NewLink Genetics (NLNK) at Outperform

Baird initiates coverage on NewLink Genetics (NASDAQ: NLNK) with a Outperform rating and a price target of $27.00.

Analyst Michael Ulz commented, "We expect 2016 to be a volatile year for NewLink shares, with multiple clinical events, most notable being Phase 3 IMPRESS data for the HyperAcute program. Although expectations are low, positive data would give investors a free call option. We are more bullish on the IDO program, particularly GDC-0919 partnered with Genentech, and expect greater visibility in 4Q16 to drive upside. Hence, we are initiating coverage with an Outperform rating and a $27 price target."
