Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) shares are up 1% in pre-open trade after CEO Elon Musk tweeted overnight Tuesday that the company has 250,000 Cybertruck orders.
This is up from the 200,000 orders Musk suggested the company had 3 days ago.
The company is asking for a $100 pre-order fee. The fee does not represent a binding sales agreement and is fully-refundable.
As a comparison, Tesla received 325,000 orders for the Model 3 in the first week of bookings three years ago.
