Xponential Fitness Inc. (NYSE: XPOF) appointed Mike Nuzzo as chief executive officer, effective immediately, the company announced. Mark King resigned from his position as CEO and as a director, effective August 7, 2025.
Nuzzo brings over 25 years of experience leading consumer retail and services businesses. He most recently served as CEO at Eyemart Express, where he led the company through revenue growth that resulted in its acquisition by VSP Vision in January 2025.
Prior to Eyemart Express, Nuzzo spent seven years at Petco, serving as chief financial officer and later chief operating officer. During his tenure, he led a turnaround of the pet services division and introduced an in-store veterinary hospital concept that expanded to over 200 locations. He participated in Petco's 2016 sale transaction, its 2021 initial public offering, and expansion into Canada and Mexico.

"With a strong portfolio of brands and a clear commitment to becoming the franchisor of choice, Xponential is well-positioned to expand its footprint across the U.S. and international markets."
Mark Grabowski, chairman of Xponential Fitness, said the board selected Nuzzo based on his operational experience and track record of scaling businesses domestically and internationally.
