XCF Global names Chris Cooper as board chair while remaining CEO

XCF Global Inc. (NASDAQ: SAFX) announced that Chief Executive Officer Chris Cooper has been appointed Board Chair, effective May 28, 2026, according to a company statement.



Cooper will continue serving as CEO while taking on the chairman role. Wray Thorn, who served as Interim Board Chair since November 7, 2025, will remain on the board and chair the Finance Committee.



The company also appointed Si‑Yeon Kim as Lead Independent Board Member in addition to her existing role as Chairperson of the Governance Committee. Kim previously held senior positions at American Express Global Business Travel and JPMorgan Chase & Co.



Thorn brings experience in private equity and capital formation through his roles as Partner and Co‑Founder at Focus Impact Partners and Managing Director at Two Sigma Investments, LP.



"On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Wray for his leadership and steady guidance as Interim Chair during an important period for XCF," Cooper said in the statement.



XCF Global produces renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel, operating its flagship facility New Rise Renewables Reno with a permitted production capacity of 38 million gallons per year. The Houston-based company is developing expansion opportunities in Nevada, North Carolina, and Florida.



The leadership changes come as the company works toward what it describes as its next phase of operational readiness and growth.
