Veraxa Biotech names Raju Willener as CFO

VERAXA Biotech AG (NASDAQ: VRXA) has appointed Raju Willener as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, according to a company press release. He replaces Carl von Halem in the role and will report to CEO and Co-Founder Christoph Antz, Ph.D.

Willener brings more than three decades of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, asset management and capital markets, with senior roles held across the U.S., Europe and Asia. He previously oversaw investment portfolios exceeding CHF 30 billion in assets under management at global financial institutions.

Most recently, Willener served as Director of Corporate Development at Exentis Group AG before being appointed CFO of that company in 2025, where he led mergers and acquisitions initiatives and financial strategy.

He holds an MBA and a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance and holds a Financial Risk Management qualification.

"His extensive experience in global capital markets, corporate finance, M&A and investment management adds significant financial and strategic depth to our leadership team," Antz said in the statement.

Zurich-based VERAXA is a developer of antibody-based cancer therapies, with a pipeline that includes conditionally active T cell engagers and bispecific antibody-drug conjugates built on its proprietary BiTAC® platform.
