Truist names Shirley Morejon as Tennessee regional president

Truist Financial Corporation (NYSE: TFC) has named Shirley Morejon as regional president of Tennessee, replacing Johnny Moore, who was appointed head of commercial banking integration, according to a company statement.



Morejon brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking, treasury management and relationship management. She was previously Bank of America's market executive for the mid-South region, where she led a team of middle market commercial bankers across Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi. Her team served companies with annual revenue between $50 million and $2 billion.



In her new role, Morejon will be based in Nashville and will focus on client relationships and community engagement across Tennessee.



Jodie Hughes, Truist's head of commercial banking, said in the statement: "Her client-first leadership style and deep knowledge of the Southeastern market make her well-positioned to lead our Tennessee team and help clients achieve their goals."



Morejon previously led a Hispanic/Latino employee resource group supporting more than 20,000 employees. She was recognized as a 2026 Nashville Business Journal Women of Influence honoree and a 2022 Tampa Bay Business Journal Businesswoman of the Year.



Truist reported total assets of $556 billion as of June 30, 2026, and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
