Surf Air Mobility names Palantir veteran as president of SurfOS

Surf Air Mobility Inc. (NYSE: SRFM) has appointed Barrett Brown as president of SurfOS, the company's AI-enabled software platform, effective September 30, 2026, according to a press release.

Brown spent over a decade at Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) from 2013 to 2024, where he served as Head of Asia beginning in 2018, overseeing business strategy and operations across the region for government and commercial clients. He began his Palantir career as a Forward Deployed Engineer in New York. Most recently, he served as an advisor at Turion Space and previously held the role of Vice President and Head of APAC at Maxar Technologies.

In his new role, Brown will oversee go-to-market strategy and commercial expansion for SurfOS, which is powered by Palantir Technologies. Surf Air Mobility's near-term priorities for SurfOS include commercializing its flagship product suite — BrokerOS, OperatorOS, and OwnerOS — and expanding enterprise and small and medium-sized business customer adoption. The company said both BrokerOS and OperatorOS have definitive agreements with external customers.

"I spent my career at Palantir scaling enterprise software into new markets, and I'm looking forward to repeating that success at SurfOS," Brown said in the statement.

Shawn Pelsinger, chairman of the board of Surf Air Mobility, noted that he worked with Brown at Palantir. "He has a rare ability to translate complex technology into commercial strategies that drive and accelerate customer adoption," Pelsinger said.
