SINTX Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: SINT) appointed Ryan Elmore as president, effective March 16, 2026, according to a company statement. The Salt Lake City-based advanced ceramics and biomaterials company said the appointment supports its strategy to expand beyond medical device manufacturing into a broader biomaterials platform.
Elmore previously served as Core Business Director at Invibio, a division of Victrex plc, and brings over 15 years of experience in advanced biomaterials and medical device commercialization. He will be responsible for executing the company's business and operational strategy as it develops silicon nitride solutions for medical applications.
The company said Elmore will lead commercialization efforts for silicon nitride technologies being evaluated in sutures, mesh, wound dressings, and other textile-based applications. SINTX is expanding its capabilities to support multiple material forms including 3D-printable filament, extruded rod, and sheet stock to facilitate adoption by contract manufacturers and strategic partners.
"Ryan is a proven commercial leader, and his appointment represents an important step as we continue to advance SINTX's evolution into a platform company," said Eric K. Olson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Our priority is to convert our materials science and IP into measurable commercial traction through licensing, strategic partnerships, and expanded partnership engagement."
SINTX develops silicon nitride biomaterials and has thousands of medical devices implanted since 2008. The company received FDA clearance for its SINAPTIC Foot & Ankle Implant System for reconstructive surgery. Elmore will work with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and research teams to support product development and business initiatives.
