Robo.ai names W Motors founder Ralph Debbas as group president
Robo.ai Inc. (Nasdaq: AIIO), a Dubai-based technology company, has appointed Ralph R. Debbas as Group President, effective immediately, according to a company statement.
Debbas founded W Motors in 2012 and led the development of the Lykan HyperSport supercar, which appeared in the film "Furious 7." He also led the development of an automotive manufacturing facility in Dubai and spearheaded the GHIATH smart patrol vehicle program with Dubai Police.
In his new role, Debbas will focus on the company's industrial strategy, international partnerships and coordination across its businesses, including artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing operations.
"Ralph's experience turning innovative product concepts into operating industrial businesses in the UAE is closely aligned with the Group's next stage of development," said Benjamin Zhai, Chief Executive Officer of Robo.ai.
The appointment coincides with several developments across the company's business units. ALIF Holding held a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of an industrial park in Umm Al Quwain and announced plans to establish ALIF Composites, a composites manufacturing business. Subsidiary Neurovia AI launched its NeuroStream platform and completed live technical validation. The operating businesses of Quantum Core Capital continue to generate revenue, the company said.
Robo.ai operates across four business platforms: artificial intelligence; robotics and smart mobility; advanced manufacturing; and digital assets and capital.
