Quantum names former Dell executive James Clancy as COO

Quantum Corporation (Nasdaq: QMCO) has appointed James C. Clancy as Chief Operating Officer, the company announced in a press release. Clancy will oversee operational and strategic execution, with a focus on organizational performance, revenue growth, and customer success.

Clancy previously served on Quantum's Board of Directors for approximately one year before accepting the COO role, from which he voluntarily resigned along with his board committee memberships.

His career includes several senior leadership positions at Dell Technologies and its predecessor companies. He served as President of Global Storage Sales at Dell, Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Dell EMC's Data Protection Solutions, and Senior Vice President at Dell Technologies. Earlier roles include Divisional Vice President of Americas for EMC's Backup Recovery Systems Division. He has also served as a business advisor to HYCU, Black Kite, Index Engines, and Nexus Advisory Partners.

"Throughout Jim's career, he has consistently built high-performing organizations, driven operational excellence, and delivered growth at scale."

Clancy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and General Management from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
