PetMed Express, Inc. (NASDAQ: PETS), the parent company of PetCareRx, announced the appointment of Jeff Willard as Chief Executive Officer and President, effective September 28, 2026. Willard will also join the company's Board of Directors on that date.

Willard succeeds Leslie C.G. Campbell, who has served as Interim Chief Executive Officer and President since August 2025. Most recently, Willard served as CEO of Stewart-MacDonald, an e-commerce provider of guitar tools and parts. He previously held roles including Chief Growth Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at Casper, President of Healthy Lifestyle Brands, and CEO of Zac Brown Collective. Earlier positions included senior roles at Simmons Bedding Company, Harman International, Coleman, Helen of Troy, and Lexmark International.

Campbell will retire as Board Chair and step down from the Board, also effective September 28, 2026. At the Board's request, she will remain with PetMeds as a full-time Strategic Advisor for 60 days following Willard's start date.

Justin Mennen, currently the Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, will succeed Campbell as Board Chair. Mennen serves as Chief Information and Technology Officer of Shake Shack Inc. and has been on the PetMeds Board since June 2024. Peter Batushansky will assume the role of Chair of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, with Mennen remaining a committee member.

"My primary focus now is on sharpening our execution and establishing a direct, clear path back to sustainable profitability and growth," Willard said in a statement based on the press release.

Campbell has served on the PetMeds Board since 2018 and assumed the role of Board Chair in January 2024.
