PROCEPT BioRobotics names Larry Wood as new CEO

PROCEPT BioRobotics Corp. (NASDAQ: PRCT) announced that Larry L. Wood will join the company as president and CEO effective September 2, 2025. Dr. Reza Zadno will retire from his roles as president, CEO, and director on September 1, 2025.
Wood brings more than 40 years of medical technology experience from Edwards Lifesciences and Baxter Healthcare Corporation. At Edwards, he served as corporate vice president and group president for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement and Surgical Structural Heart since 2023. Wood joined PROCEPT BioRobotics' board of directors in 2024 and serves on its audit committee.
Zadno led the company since 2020 through its commercial expansion, including the 2021 public offering and the start of clinical trials for prostate cancer treatment. Under his leadership, global Aquablation procedures grew from several hundred to nearly 100,000, and the company raised more than $600 million in capital.
The San Jose-based surgical robotics company also pre-announced second quarter 2025 revenue of approximately $79.2 million, representing 48% annual growth. The company will report full second quarter earnings results after market close on August 6, 2025.
PROCEPT BioRobotics manufactures robotic systems for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition affecting approximately 40 million men in the United States. The company's HYDROS Robotic System delivers Aquablation therapy for patients with lower urinary tract symptoms due to BPH.
Thomas M. Prescott, the company's chairperson, stated that Wood's experience in the medical technology industry aligns with the company's growth opportunities. Wood holds an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.
