PPG announces executive changes as Latin America VP retires

PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) announced leadership changes following the planned retirement of Adriana Macouzet, vice president of PPG Latin America and general manager of protective and marine coatings for Latin America, effective April 30, 2026.
Jennifer Solcz will expand her role from vice president of protective and marine coatings for the United States and Canada to oversee the Americas region, including both USCA and Latin America, starting April 30, 2026. Solcz will continue reporting to Amy Ericson, senior vice president of protective and marine coatings.
Javier Sosa Mejía will take on expanded responsibilities as president of PPG Latin America, effective January 1, 2026, while maintaining his current role as vice president of architectural coatings for Latin America and president of PPG Comex. Sosa will continue reporting to Henrik Bergström, senior vice president of global architectural coatings.
"On behalf of the PPG leadership team, we congratulate Adriana on an outstanding 40-year career with PPG and thank her for her many contributions," said Tim Knavish, PPG chairman and chief executive officer. "She has been a key leader in driving the development and growth of PPG's PMC business and PPG's business throughout Latin America."
Macouzet joined PPG in 1984 as a paint formulator in Mexico and advanced through various roles across automotive coatings, operations, and sales before expanding into Latin American markets. She was appointed to her current position in 2016, providing regional leadership for Latin America and direct accountability for the protective and marine coatings business in the region.
Solcz joined PPG in 2018 and previously served as Americas general manager for auto parts. Sosa joined PPG in 2014 following the company's acquisition of Comex and has held various positions within the architectural coatings business.
