Novelis appoints Greg Schlicht president of North America operations
Novelis Inc. announced the appointment of Greg Schlicht as Executive Vice President and President of Novelis North America, effective immediately. The aluminum solutions provider said Schlicht will oversee all business operations in the North America region, including manufacturing and recycling facilities across the United States and Canada.
Schlicht has worked at Novelis for 16 years in various leadership roles. He most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer and Vice President of Commercial for Novelis North America, where he led regional sales operations. Prior to that role, he spent four years managing sales for the company's global beverage packaging accounts and held positions in the strategy, sustainability and legal departments.
"Greg's extensive experience and proven leadership make him the ideal candidate to drive our strategic initiatives and growth in the North America region," said Steve Fisher, president and CEO of Novelis Inc.
Novelis North America produces aluminum products for customers in beverage packaging, automotive and specialty markets, including industrial products for building, construction and transportation industries, as well as food containers.
Novelis Inc. reported net sales of $17.1 billion in fiscal year 2025. The company operates as a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited (BSE: 500440), which is part of the Aditya Birla Group based in Mumbai. Novelis describes itself as a global aluminum recycling company with operations across North America, Europe, Asia and South America.
