Nerdy names John Paszterko as chief operating officer

Nerdy Inc. (NYSE: NRDY) appointed John Paszterko as chief operating officer, the online tutoring company announced. Paszterko will oversee Consumer Sales, Marketplace Operations, and Member Services at the parent company of Varsity Tutors.
Paszterko joins from Amazon, where he worked for more than nine years. His most recent role was Head of North America Customer Fulfillment operations efficiency and technology integration team, where he led 180+ Product, Program, and Data Science managers responsible for process improvement across 200+ Fulfillment Centers.
"John's expertise in scaling operations, driving efficiency, and integrating cutting-edge technology at Amazon makes him the ideal leader to accelerate our Live + AI platform," said Chuck Cohn, Founder, CEO, and Chairman of Nerdy Inc.
Before Amazon, Paszterko served 10 years in the U.S. Army. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds a Master of Science in Global Business and Finance from Georgetown University.

Nerdy operates a platform that connects learners with experts through technology, including artificial intelligence. The company provides tutoring services across thousands of subjects through various formats including one-on-one instruction, small group tutoring, and large format classes.
