Navios Maritime Partners announces executive leadership changes

Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (NYSE: NMM) announced senior leadership changes, including the establishment of an executive office and multiple promotions within the organization.
The company promoted Vasiliki Papaefthymiou to Vice Chairwoman of Corporate Transactions and Shunji Sasada to Vice Chairman of Commercial Operations. Both executives will serve in a newly established Office of the Chairwoman, reporting directly to Chairwoman and CEO Angeliki Frangou.
Papaefthymiou brings 35 years of legal expertise and has served as Secretary of Navios Partners since the company's inception. She joined Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. in 2005 and currently serves as Executive Vice President-Legal and board member of Navios Holdings.
Sasada has four decades of shipping industry experience and joined the company's board in 2007. He has held senior operational and commercial positions within the organization since joining Navios Holdings in 1997.
The company also promoted Anna Kalathakis to President of Navios Partners. Kalathakis has over 30 years of maritime industry experience and previously served as Chief Legal Risk Officer. She joined the Navios Group in 2005.
Additional appointments include Sophia Tavla as Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Legal Group, Alexandros Tsakonas as Senior Vice President of Legal Risk Management, and Grigoris Tzifas as Senior Vice President of Finance.
Navios Maritime Partners operates as an international owner and operator of dry cargo and tanker vessels. The leadership changes are part of what the company describes as strengthening its executive management team structure.
