Mosaic Company names new operations chief as executive retires

The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) announced that Karen Swager, Executive Vice President of Operations, plans to retire, with Walt Precourt set to take over her role effective December 1.

Precourt, who currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, joined Mosaic in 2009 and has been a member of the company's Executive Leadership Team since 2014. He has previously led Mosaic's phosphate and potash businesses, as well as its Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and Strategy functions. In his current role, he oversees Procurement, Human Resources, Public Affairs, and Global Business Services.

Swager will remain with the company as a senior advisor until her retirement in the second quarter of 2027. Her career at Mosaic and predecessor companies spans more than three decades, during which she served as General Manager of several operating facilities, led the potash business and supply chain, and assumed the EVP – Operations role in 2023.

President and CEO Bruce Bodine said Precourt's "thoughtful leadership and thorough knowledge of Mosaic's complex operations are well known and widely appreciated across the company." In addition to global operations, Precourt will also lead the company's EHS function and will remain based at Mosaic's Tampa, Florida executive office.
