McDonald's names Skye Anderson president of its U.S. business

McDonald's Corporation (NYSE: MCD) has appointed Skye Anderson as President of McDonald's USA, effective Aug. 4, 2026. Anderson, who has more than 26 years of experience at the company, will oversee nearly 14,000 U.S. restaurants.

Anderson succeeds Joe Erlinger, who is leaving McDonald's after more than two decades with the company, including nearly seven years leading the U.S. business. Erlinger will advise Anderson through early 2027 to help facilitate the transition.

Anderson most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of McDonald's USA, a role she took on earlier this year as part of a planned leadership transition. Her career at McDonald's has included finance leadership in Australia, field and zone leadership across the United States, and creation of the company's Global Business Services division.

During a four-year tenure leading the U.S. West Zone, Anderson oversaw a base of more than 5,700 restaurants, during which comparable sales grew more than 30% and average restaurant unit cash flow increased by $100,000.

"Skye combines deep operational discipline with strong financial judgment and has earned the trust of Owner/Operators, suppliers and employees," said Chris Kempczinski, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McDonald's Corporation.

In her new role, Anderson will lead the company's U.S. strategy, referred to internally as McDonald's > NEXT.
