Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) announced that Matt Stadler will become CEO of Marsh Agency on January 1, 2027, succeeding David Eslick, who will remain as Chairman. Both will report to Nick Studer, President and CEO of Marsh Risk.
Stadler joined Marsh in 2015 following the acquisition of MHBT, Inc., later becoming CEO of the Southwest region in 2023 and President of Marsh Agency in 2025. He is based in Dallas and has more than 20 years of experience advising middle-market businesses on employee benefits and property/casualty insurance.
"I am honored to build on the extraordinary foundation Dave has built and lead Marsh Agency into its next chapter," Stadler said.
John Stanchina, current CEO of the Mid-Atlantic region, will succeed Stadler as President of Marsh Agency in January. Stanchina joined Marsh in 2010 through the acquisition of Virginia-based Thomas Rutherfoord Inc. Guy Morrison, currently President and Employee Health and Benefits Practice Leader for the Mid-Atlantic region, will become CEO of that region. Morrison joined Marsh in 2011 through the acquisition of Strategic Benefit Solutions in Atlanta.
Under Eslick's tenure, Marsh Agency acquired more than 100 agencies and grew to more than $5 billion in revenue since its launch in 2009.
