Lyft, Inc. (NASDAQ: LYFT) announced the appointment of Michael Brous as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 28, 2026, according to a company statement.
Brous, 39, succeeds Erin Brewer, who will retire from the CFO position on the same date. Brewer will remain with the company as an advisor through December 15, 2026, to assist with the transition. The company stated her departure is not the result of any dispute or disagreement with Lyft, its board, or its management.
Brous has been with Lyft for nearly eight years, most recently serving as Head of Lyft Urban Solutions and Safety & Customer Care since November 2025. Prior to that role, he served as Head of Lyft Urban Solutions from September 2023 to November 2025, and held positions including Head of Strategy and Growth and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Before joining Lyft, Brous served as Vice President of Finance at Motivate International Inc., a bike-sharing company acquired by Lyft in 2018. He also held roles at REQX Ventures LLC, Versa Capital Management, and Financo, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
