Inseego names Nick Lambourne as its new CTO

Inseego Corp. (Nasdaq: INSG) has appointed Nick Lambourne as Chief Technology Officer, according to a company press release. Lambourne will oversee Inseego's global engineering organization, covering hardware, embedded software, and cloud platforms.

The appointment comes as Inseego works toward completing its planned acquisition of Nokia's Fixed Wireless Access business. Lambourne is expected to help integrate the incoming Nokia FWA engineering operations with Inseego's existing teams into a single global engineering organization.

Lambourne previously served as CTO of Particle, an enterprise IoT company that was acquired by Digi International. Before that, he held engineering and business leadership roles at Roku, Automatic, and SiriusXM, led Android platform development at Broadcom, and began his career developing cellular silicon for Nokia and Samsung.

Inseego CEO Juho Sarvikas said Lambourne's "deep cellular expertise and experience across hardware, software, cloud, and international engineering operations will be critical" as the company expands globally. Sarvikas also noted that Lambourne will lead efforts to integrate AI across Inseego's software development cycle.

Lambourne succeeds Vishal Donthireddy, who is departing after more than two decades with the company. Inseego is headquartered in San Diego, California, with offices in Amsterdam, Bangalore, and Athens.
