InflaRx names Gabriela Alperovich as clinical development head

InflaRx N.V. (Nasdaq: IFRX) announced the appointment of Gabriela Alperovich, MD, PhD, as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Clinical Development, effective October 1, 2026.



Dr. Alperovich joins InflaRx from CSL Vifor, where she most recently served as Executive Director, Global Clinical Lead for Cardiovascular and Renal. Over more than 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, she has held clinical development and medical affairs leadership roles at CSL Vifor, AbbVie, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Her experience includes leading Phase 2 and Phase 3 registrational programs across indications such as IgA nephropathy, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, and kidney transplant, with regulatory submissions and approvals.



Dr. Alperovich holds board certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and a PhD in kidney transplant from the University of Barcelona.

InflaRx is developing izicopan, an orally administered small molecule inhibitor of the C5a receptor, for the treatment of ANCA-associated vasculitis and additional renal diseases. The company is based in Jena, Germany, with additional offices in Munich, Germany, and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
