GoldQuest Mining names Dennis Kwong as new CFO
GoldQuest Mining Corp. (TSXV: GQC) (OTCQX: GDQMF) announced the appointment of Dennis Kwong as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 15, 2026, according to a company statement.
Kwong, who holds Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Professional Accountant designations, most recently served as CFO of Florida Canyon Gold Inc., where he was involved in the company's spinout and public listing, its sale of Mexican assets to Heliostar Metals, and its merger with Integra Resources.
Before that role, Kwong spent approximately 15 years at Centerra Gold in senior business development positions. During that period, he was involved in Centerra's $1.1 billion acquisition of Thompson Creek Metals, its C$310 million acquisition of AuRico Metals, and the acquisition of the Goldfield Project in Nevada.
Earlier in his career, Kwong held senior roles at Xstrata Nickel, Falconbridge, and Noranda, where his work included helping structure financing for the $3.9 billion Koniambo nickel project in New Caledonia.
Kwong succeeds Paul Robertson, who had served as CFO of GoldQuest since 2010.
Luis Santana, CEO of GoldQuest, said Kwong's experience in mining finance, capital markets, project financing, and transactions would strengthen the company's management team.
GoldQuest is a Canadian exploration and development company focused on gold and copper projects in the Dominican Republic.
