Genesco names Jonathan Collins as CFO, effective August 2026

Genesco Inc. (NYSE: GCO) has appointed Jonathan Collins as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 3, 2026, according to a company statement.
Collins will report to Board Chair, President and CEO Mimi E. Vaughn, who has served as Interim CFO since March 2026. The appointment follows a comprehensive search process.
Collins brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience. He spent 13 years at Walmart in senior roles, including CFO of Walmart Africa, a $5 billion retail subsidiary operating across eight African countries, Chief Accounting Officer of Flipkart Group in India, and Chief Accounting Officer of Walmart Canada, a $25 billion subsidiary.
Most recently, Collins served as CFO of America's Car-Mart, Inc. from 2025 to 2026, where he led efforts to recapitalize the company and strengthen financial operations. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at KPMG, leading advisory engagements across the U.S., China and Australia.
"Jonathan is an accomplished finance executive with an exceptional combination of public company leadership and multi-channel global retail expertise," Vaughn said.
Collins holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Kennesaw State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
