Fuel Tech names Ramesh Nuggihalli as new CEO, replacing Arnone

Fuel Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: FTEK) has appointed Ramesh Nuggihalli as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 10, 2026. Nuggihalli will also join the company's Board of Directors, according to a press release from the Warrenville, Illinois-based company.
Nuggihalli succeeds Vincent J. Arnone, who is retiring after 27 years with Fuel Tech, including 11 years as President and CEO. Arnone will remain with the company during a transition period and will retain his seat on the Board of Directors.
Nuggihalli brings more than 30 years of experience in the power, industrial, water, and environmental sectors. Prior to joining Fuel Tech, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of CECO Environmental, where he oversaw the company's global business units. He previously held the role of Managing Director of Xylem Asia, based in Singapore, and Managing Director of Pentair Middle East, based in Dubai. Earlier roles include executive positions at Tyco, Ametek, General Electric's Power Division, Babcock & Wilcox, and SNC-Lavalin.
Nuggihalli holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Mysore, a Master of Engineering from McGill University, an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Master of Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania.

Arnone said he is "confident in the Company's future" and described Nuggihalli as having "a track record of leading organic and M&A-driven growth initiatives, geographic expansion, and instilling performance-driven, accountable cultures."
Fuel Tech develops technologies for air pollution control, water treatment, and process optimization, with solutions installed on more than 2,100 utility, industrial, and municipal units worldwide.
