Flywire names Patrick Blanc as chief technology officer

Flywire Corporation (NASDAQ: FLYW) appointed Patrick Blanc as chief technology officer, the company announced February 23. Blanc will oversee global engineering, implementation, and technical support organizations while leading technology strategy across the payments platform.



Blanc brings over 20 years of experience in payment technology leadership. He most recently served as CTO of Ingenico, a payment acceptance services company. Previously, he held the CTO position for Cybersource and Value Added Services at Visa, where he worked on global payment, issuing, acquiring, and fraud management platforms. He also spent a decade at PayPal in the United States and Singapore, focusing on mobile commerce and payment software applications.

"As demand for our solutions grows, we need a proven technology leader who can scale mission-critical infrastructure while staying relentlessly focused on client success."



The appointment coincides with organizational changes at Flywire. David King transitions from chief technology officer to a dual role as chief product officer and co-president of global education.



Blanc holds engineering degrees from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées Lyon and a master's degree in computer science from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées Toulouse.



Flywire operates as a global payments enablement and software company, supporting more than 4,900 clients across education, healthcare, travel, and business-to-business industries. The company processes payments in more than 140 currencies across 240 countries and territories.
