FIS (NYSE: FIS) announced that James Kehoe will step down as Chief Financial Officer effective November 5, 2026, after joining the company in 2023. Kehoe will remain with the Jacksonville, Florida-based financial technology company as a non-executive senior advisor through March 2027 to assist with the transition.

Alexandra Brooks, currently Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at FIS, has been named interim Chief Financial Officer, also effective November 5, 2026. Brooks will retain her Chief Accounting Officer responsibilities alongside the interim CFO role.

Brooks joined FIS in October 2024. She previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hertz Global Holdings, Inc., having followed a path from Chief Accounting Officer to interim CFO to permanent CFO at that company. Her earlier career included finance, accounting and audit roles at Aptiv PLC, General Electric, General Motors and Champion Windows and Home Exteriors, and she began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Brooks holds a Certified Public Accountant designation.

FIS Chief Executive Officer and President Stephanie Ferris credited Kehoe with contributions including the Worldpay exit and the Issuer Solutions acquisition. "Alex is a former public company CFO who knows our business, our controls and our finance team well, which makes her uniquely qualified to immediately step into the role of interim CFO," Ferris said.

The company's board of directors and CEO have initiated a search for a permanent CFO, considering both internal and external candidates. FIS separately announced its third-quarter 2026 earnings results and updated its full-year 2026 guidance in a concurrent press release.
