Extra Space Storage promotes Noah Springer to president

Extra Space Storage Inc. (NYSE: EXR) announced that its board of directors has promoted Noah Springer from executive vice president to president, effective January 5, 2026.



Springer previously served as executive vice president, chief strategy and partnership officer, overseeing the company's third-party management program, joint ventures, human resources department and strategic initiatives. In his new role, the company's operations function will also report to him.



"Noah has been an exceptional leader and a significant contributor to our Company's strategy, growth and culture for nearly 20 years," said Joe Margolis, chief executive officer. "Noah brings a deep understanding of storage operations, structured transactions and employee engagement."



Springer joined Extra Space Storage in 2006 after working in the banking industry. During his tenure, he has held various positions in acquisitions, asset management and third-party management. He helped develop the company's third-party management platform, Management Plus, which operates over 1,800 locations.



Springer has been a member of the company's senior management team since 2014 and the executive team since 2020. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Utah.



Extra Space Storage, headquartered in Salt Lake City, operates 4,238 self-storage properties comprising approximately 2.9 million units and 326.9 million square feet of rentable storage space as of September 30, 2025. The company describes itself as the largest operator of self-storage properties in the United States.
