Equinix names DD Dasgupta as chief marketing officer

Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX) announced the appointment of DD Dasgupta as Chief Marketing Officer, according to a company press release dated Sept. 10, 2026.
Dasgupta has more than 25 years of experience in digital infrastructure, spanning networking, SaaS, servers, storage, cloud, observability and security. He joined Equinix in 2024 as Vice President of Product and Solution Marketing. In his new role, he will report to Shane Paladin, Equinix's Chief Customer and Revenue Officer.
Before joining Equinix, Dasgupta led product management and product marketing for Cisco's data center portfolio. Prior to Cisco, he served as founding CMO at Avi Networks, where he led the company through its acquisition by VMware. He also held leadership roles at Juniper Networks, HP and Nortel Networks. Dasgupta holds an undergraduate degree in computer science and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
"DD has extensive background in infrastructure and networking at a time when customers are navigating the significant shifts needed for the era of AI inference," Paladin said.
