Chevron announces multiple senior leadership changes through 2026

Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) announced several senior leadership changes spanning from March 2026 through November 2026, according to a company statement.
Frank Mount, President of Corporate Business Development, will retire in November 2026 after 33 years with the company. Jake Spiering, currently Director of Investor Relations, will succeed Mount on August 1, 2026. Spiering joined Chevron in 2008 and previously worked at EY.
Jeanine Wai will become Director of Investor Relations effective April 1, 2026. Wai rejoined Chevron in January 2026 after previous experience at TotalEnergies, Barclays, J.P. Morgan, Citi and Bechtel.
Patricia Leigh, President of Supply & Trading, will retire in July 2026 after 35 years of service. Molly Laegeler, currently Chief Strategy Officer, will succeed Leigh on March 1, 2026. Laegeler joined Chevron in 2005 and previously oversaw operations including in the Permian Basin.
Kevin Lyon, currently Hess Integration Leader, will become Chief Strategy Officer on March 1, 2026. Lyon joined Chevron in 1988 and has led operations across the United States, Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia and Central Asia.
Bruce Niemeyer, President of Shale & Tight, will retire in October 2026 after 26 years with the company. Gerbert Schoonman, currently Senior Executive Advisor for Hess Integration, will succeed Niemeyer on April 1, 2026. Schoonman joined Chevron in July 2025 following the Chevron-Hess merger and brings over 35 years of international oil and gas experience.
"Throughout his career, Frank has contributed significantly to the success of Chevron," said Chairman and CEO Mike Wirth regarding Mount's retirement.
