Cabot Corporation (NYSE: CBT) has appointed Steve Delahunt, currently Vice President and Corporate Treasurer, as interim Chief Financial Officer effective October 1, 2026, while the company searches for a permanent replacement.
The appointment follows the previously announced promotion of Erica McLaughlin, who currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Strategy, to President and Chief Executive Officer, also effective October 1, 2026. McLaughlin will succeed Sean Keohane in that role.
Delahunt has more than 30 years of finance and treasury experience. In his current role as Corporate Treasurer, he oversees global treasury activities, capital markets strategy, liquidity management, banking relationships, risk management and pension investment oversight. He also led Cabot's investor relations function for nine years until January 2026.
"Steve is a highly respected finance leader with deep knowledge of our business, strong relationships across our global organization and a proven track record of disciplined financial leadership," McLaughlin said in a statement.
