Beacon Therapeutics Holdings Limited announced the appointment of Ryan Robinson as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Tom Biancardi following the completion of the company's Series C financing in January 2026.

Robinson brings over 15 years of finance and operational leadership experience in the biotechnology sector. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Tourmaline Bio, which Novartis AG acquired in October 2025 for $1.4 billion in total equity value.

Prior to Tourmaline Bio, Robinson held financial leadership positions at publicly traded biotechnology companies including Korro Bio, Jounce Therapeutics, and Merrimack Pharmaceuticals. At Merrimack, he managed the financial and operational aspects of the commercial launch of ONIVYDE for metastatic pancreatic cancer treatment.

"Beacon is entering a formative time in its development, with its late-stage gene therapy candidate advancing toward commercialization," Robinson said. The company completed a $75 million Series C financing earlier this year.

Lance Baldo, Chief Executive Officer of Beacon Therapeutics, noted Robinson's experience with commercial-stage biotechnology companies and commercial launch readiness as the company prepares for potential commercialization of laru-zova.

The London and Cambridge, Massachusetts-based clinical-stage biotechnology company completed enrollment in its pivotal VISTA trial evaluating laru-zova for X-linked retinitis pigmentosa treatment in July 2025. The company expects twelve-month topline data in the second half of 2026.

Beacon Therapeutics develops gene therapies for ocular diseases, with a pipeline targeting retinal diseases including X-linked retinitis pigmentosa and geographic atrophy, according to the company's press release statement.
